Corona Cigar, a prominent cigar retailer from Florida, recently opened a new store on the state’s west coast in Sarasota. The 7,000-square-foot space is Corona’s fifth retail location, all of which are owned by Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz.

“We are still waiting on some things like signs and a few miscellaneous items but we are open for business,” says Jeff Borysiewicz. He expects to have a grand opening in August and says the new cigar shop was “about the same size as our Tampa store.”

The new shop, which includes a full bar, has two cigar lounges, one of which is an El Septimo branded lounge. Based in Los Angeles, El Septimo has been busy of late, opening cigar lounges at a pace that could be described as aggressive. This would make the fifth branded lounge for the cigar brand.

“We have been working very hard to increase our retail presence in strategic locations to better serve the continuous growth in demand for our cigars,” says Zaya Younan, the chief executive officer of El Septimo. He says his company has “increased our retail presence by 300 percent” in half a year.
